Summer flowers

August is the best time of year for gardeners (in Utah anyway). All the time put in planting, watering (many times a day), weeding, dead-heading, pinching back, applying miracle grow, etc...really pays off. This time of year you can really just enjoy the beauty of the flower garden or the veggies from the vegetable garden. I like to try different flowers every year and see how they do.
I was pretty happy with
the flowers this year. In a couple of months it will be time to pull them up and start planting some bulbs to come up in the spring.

The big swing

Next to Mike's grandparents house in Midway, there is this amazing, big, swing! It has been there since Gretchen was a baby. We love to go over and swing whenever we get a chance. It really is fun for the kids, but just about as much fun for the adults. It takes me back to being a kid on the swings at the park when I'm on this swing.

Sundance Outdoor theatre

Mike and I went on a fun date up to Sundance last Friday and took in a play at the outdoor theatre. We saw A Midsummer Night's Dream.
A tractor pulled us up the mountain to the theatre.
We really enjoyed the play and we were glad we had jackets and blankets, it got cold when the sun went down.

Tired superhero

Dylan loves to dress up and play superhero. This day he had been working hard, running around the house and trying to scare mommy. He settled in to watch a tv show and fell right to sleep. Cute little spidey.

Pool party

Monday night we went to Mike's Aunt's house for a pool party. The kids played with cousins and got to visit with their Grandma Jo and Grandpa Don. We stayed until it was dark and had a hard time getting the kids to want to go home.
I have to give the photography credit to Mike's dad, he took most of these pictures.
