Here we go again...
That's right, we have another little one on the way. The due date is April 12, if you'll notice the birthdates on the pictures, we like spring babies in our family. We are very excited to go from a family of 5 to 6!

Vacation 2007
We've got a fun family vacation to Florida coming up in about a week (I'm just praying there are no hurricanes while we are there). Well, that got me thinking about our last family vacation April of last year, we went to Arizona. We went down with Mike's parents, saw the Grand Canyon, then we went to Phoenix where we went to the zoo and visited lots of Mike's family. We also went to his cousin's wedding down there. We took some great pictures and I didn't have a blog back then, so I thought I'd post them now. This upcoming vacation will be totally different, we are flying, then staying at a beach house, then going to Disney World. I'm really excited to make more vacation memories!
I love these "getting attacked by a humongous snake" pictures we took at the Phoenix zoo! I printed the one of Gretchen and put it on her spotlight poster for 2nd grade. The kids could not get over how real it looked.
Little Dylan just barely 2.

A true Arizona scenery shot!

Today in History

On the morning of Sept 11, 2001, I was up watching the news when the second plane attacked. They were trying to figure out what exactly happened with the plane flying in to the first tower. I remember they really thought it was some kind of accident. Then after the second plane, everyone knew...it was an attack. I was glued to the tv the whole day--week really. Everyone was preparing for even more attacks. What a tragedy. But, it was amazing to see the whole nation come together. We have our flag flying outside of our house today in remembrance.

Sad story
I saw the saddest story on the Today Show this morning about this cute mom of 4 who is a blogger that has affected and influenced many lives. She is LDS, lives in Arizona and her and her husband were in an awful plane crash. Now they are in the hospital with extensive burns. My heart just breaks to think of all that they will need to deal with in the future. They have wonderful support of their family and apparently have a lot of faith in the gospel---that will see them through. My prayers go out to them.

Preschool
Dylan started preschool this past week. He's been so excited and had been talking about it for weeks. On the first day he just hopped out of the car and walked right in, no looking back. Then when I picked him up, he talked non-stop for 10 minutes about everything he did, his snack, his new friends, etc.Dylan & the dinos
