Saturday we had a fun family outing, flying kites. It was almost too windy, though. The first kite broke the first time it got up. The other kite, which was a cool 3-D shark kite, had some trouble. I swear we tried to get it up 50 times. It would go around in circles and then do a nose-dive. Then Mike made a few adjustments and it finally got up. The kids all got a chance to hold the kite while it was flying high.

We were at a park in Saratoga Springs on Saturday and there were some kite flyers. It was a good kite flying day that's for sure! I was thinking I really need to buy a kite! My kids were watching them intently. They would say things like Look! Look! Plane? or it's gonna git you! I have not flown a kite since I was a kid and not sure I remember how! I may have to call you guys for some pointers. ;) Looks like you guys had a GREAT day making the best of the wind :) Glad you got that shark to FLY.

we went & flew kites sat. too. we weren't very sucessful either. my dad bought the kids some awesome kites. but i'm not sure if it was too windy or what but they just didnt want to go. we went to the same park as well then ended up moving to another one, with a little bit better luck but still had a hard time. oh well it was fun. you got some great pics. love the ones that you got the kids in with the clouds, awesome!!!
