Best Ward Ever

Today was our last Sunday, going to church in our ward! Such a sad day. I feel so, so attached to this ward. I think, that is, for many reasons...probably the number one reason was that I served as Relief Society President for a time. I cared (and still do) so much about every sister. I visited everyone except maybe one or two in their home with my presidency. I can think of a memory with almost every single lady in the ward. I feel such a connection to everyone--I realize they might not feel the same for me. But, I think that happens when you worry and think about, pray for, and love someone. And I really did that for all the sisters in the ward. I am honestly so impressed with all the ladies in the ward, too. They are always caring about and serving each other. Everyone is so friendly and inclusive. There isn't too much gossiping or people holding grudges. Everyone is pretty laid back and easy going. Anyway, I've just loved living here and watching these wonderful ladies raise their families and be such good examples to me. Thank you all. Thank you also to all of those who have loved and taught my children in primary. I thank you for helping build their little testimonies. I love you all and really hope we will find our new home nearby! Here is a slideshow of some pictures I took back from '06 during a couple of our Enrichment activities. It's fun to see how we've changed since then!

That was so fun to watch. I have so many great memories of you Erin. From visit teaching each other, to serve in Sunday School together, there are too many things too remember. We are sure hoping you all find something back this way. Thanks for being such a wonderful example and influence in my life.

Erin, I was so sad when you announced in RS that it was your last time. :( I will really miss you. You have touched people more than you know. I really mean that! I hope our paths will cross again. That slide show was really fun to watch, I loved seeing all the faces of the ladies who no longer live here too and remembering fun times with them as well. We will always have fond memories of you too!! I am going to keep checking your blog to see what you guys are up to :) take care and good luck in all you do!

Ditto to all previous comments. You're such a great example of so many things and it's such a loss to the neighborhood to have you leave! Hopefully you will still be close by.

Erin you are so loved by everyone! You are right, this is such a wonderful ward. I've struggled in life many times from members of other wards, who were to quick to judge. But this ward is so wonderful. Everyone is so accepting & loving. Quick to help if you need. Brad & I have talked about how hard it would be to move. We know that it will eventually happen but one of the hardest parts would be leaving this wonderful ward.
I want you to know what a wonderful example you have been to me. I look up to you. You are a true daughter of God & you can see that in everything you do. You were one of the first to come into my home & visit me. We had been here for a long time before that. You are such a wonderful caring person. You can even see that in the way your children present themselves. Please let us know if their is anything we can do for you & your family.

What a great post Erin (and I agree with you on my bangs.) I can't even begin to tell you all the things I love about you and your family. Your family has been a blessing to ours in so many ways and I'm thankful to have made what I know is a life-long friendship. I have loved watching our kids grow up together and it will seem wierd not to have them to take or pick up from school next year. We will miss you, but will keep praying you find a home close. We love you!

I was looking at how adorable your little family looked while sitting in sacrament meeting and had no idea it was your last Sunday. :( We will miss you guys tons! Thanks so much for the great person that you are and the wonderful example that you have always been. I loved serving with you in Relief Society. You taught me a lot about missionary work and reaching out to people and I'm grateful for all that I learned by serving with you. We will stay in touch for sure! Good luck with everything and I hope you stay close by! Love ya!

I've obviously missed somthing... Where are you going? Sorry. I've been a little out of touch. I'd love to hear your update?

And, I have to say, I feel the same way about our ward in WJ. I think because of the reasons you sited. It's the loving, praying, worrying, and serving that forges a bond with the sisters that is indescribable.
